Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 48390
Row height is adjusted properly when changing font size or double-clicking on the row border, but not when the file is opened
Last modified: 2005-06-06 15:56:24 UTC
I have been fighting against OpenOffice for many hours and days now. Each time I open the file, the row heights are wrong, so I have to readjust them. This is unacceptable. I can adjust it by right-clicking on the row, choose "Optimal row height..." and press Enter. Or I can doubleclick on the row border. When I change font size, it also automatically adjusts the row height. But whenever I open the document it is broken again. I have until now not been able to reproduce the bug when creating a new file, but I have create a testcase by stripping the file that I am working with. So maybe there is something spooking in there (it once originated from an e><ce| import).
Created attachment 25619 [details] Testcase that shows the bug, stripped from a file that is used in real life
Created attachment 25620 [details] Similar file, produced from scratch. Does not show the defect behaviour.
When having those 2 files open in windows with equal size and position and switching between them, I can see that the columns look narrower in the file that shows the defect. But strangely enough the columns have the same size (2,27cm) in both files! The row height looks equal. The zoom factor is 100% in both windows. I tried to look at a diff between the saved files (pretty-printed and unzipped), but I found no solution there. What I really want is a method to fix my file so I can work with it. I would appreciate suggestions. Tell me what other info you may want (configuration files, screenshots, ...)!
Hi, could not reproduce using OOo1.9.106 internal build. So closing worksforme. Frank
