Provide PDF export for Impress slide notes
Last modified: 2013-08-07 15:21:02 UTC
Make the Impress slide notes (and only those) PDF-exportable, to e.g. ease generation of handout pages.
Set target and type.
This would be indeed a nice feature. I use it heavily in the current product from a competitor. As I use slides with many object some of which overlay each other I mark them as invisible in the black and white view. This results in a "core"picture containing the most essential parts of the slide. The details about the slide are then given in the slide notes and those are printed as a PDF. A direct export does certainly improve quality and reduces file size. As an additional improvement over brand-X's product, it would be helpful to add an "invisble for print" attribute to an object even in color. This would allow a colored note page with the above features, but wouldn't infere with the "normal" show (it was possible in OOo 1.1.x with the different layers, even though for the print of the slides only) I assume that an additional advantage of a colored page Notes-Page-PDF would be, that there was no need for a conversion of color->b/w in objects which is a hazzle in m current Brand-X setting (it also increases the file size significantly) Thank you for listening
