Description naoyuki 2005-05-11 05:30:19 UTC
Platform JDS3 (Cinnabar b34b or b30)
How to reproduce:
1. login with ja_JP locale
2. start Writer (m97/b34b or m92/b30)
3. enter some text
4. select it with double click
Then selected text disappers. (actually deleted)

- This happnes on Calc, too.
- This does not happen other than ja locale as far as I tried (en_US, it_IT,
ko_KR, zh_TW etc...)
- This does not happen if '/etc/init.d/iiimd stop' is executed
'/etc/init.d/iiimd start' triggers this problem again.
- This does not happne if SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN set (old style UI)
- This happens with all of themes of desktop as far as I tried.
- This does not happne if mouse right click (context menu) is done once.
But moving focus to other window and back, then this problem begin to occur again
- This does not happen with StarSuite7 on the same platform

US->PL: would you mind to have a look at this issue.
Already committed japanese text gets deleted when selecting/highlighting it
(reproduced with m102 on dated Cinnabar Linux build)

Stopper approval requested.

Actually this was the IM context that insists on sending a preedit start and a
preedit change to "" when it is created. Another IM workaround for gtkframe.cxx.
Comment 3 hdu@apache.org 2005-05-12 11:15:34 UTC
