Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 49093
Need more options in 'alignment'
Last modified: 2013-10-19 16:12:48 UTC
Have a look at some competing products, such as Serif Drwplus. There are some very useful things that align in Draw does not do: 1. Align left-to-right, or right-to-left. This way you can draw two boxes, and have them butt up against each other. 2. Align with borders, or equally space This way you can draw several boxes, and have them space out evenly with a defined space between them. This is particularly useful in a 2-d Grid. 3. Align around curve, unrotated. Space the selected items out along the path of a curve, keeping them upright. 4. Align around curve, rotated Space the selected items out along the path of a curve, rotating them so they axis is perpendicular to the curve.
Reassigned.
1. should also have included 'top to bottom', of course....
I'm surprised there is no target on this one.
Hello? Is there anybody there?

Ahoy! Any commitment to a milestone? The solution could go into the presentation programme too, or the word processor. Does that make it framework?

I asked about this in May. Sorry I didn't VOTE for it. Some of us would really like to see this. Even the Spammers want to see this feature! (don't force us to use Monopolistic Software to get this feature :-) Thanks very much!

Addition: Objects should align either to the first object selected or the last object selected.
