Hi,

I'm really worrying about the mailmerge performance in OO0 2.0 .... For all the
1.9.680mxxx version there is a big fall of performance in mergin process... I
don't talk about the wizard .... only the 'dumb' merge process with direct
printing of the result.
We often use big merging process ( mailing with 60000 adresses merged by group
from 500 to 2000 adresses). In version 1.1.4 the merge process handle around 800
records by minute, and the beta version handle around 150 records by a minute. I
use same datasource (postgresql or csv) , same computer and same document .... a
simple letter with only adress area  ( other text are pre-printed).

A test with 2 different adress labels  / page  and 1732 records : 
OOo 1.1.4 : 1mn 20 s
OOo 1.9.680m100 : Crash  after 9 mn ..... ( Main memory shortage ...)

Tested on PIV 2.8 Ghz with 1Gb of ram.....

Exactly the same problem in version 1.9.680m104 ... I will send you test files (
data + writer doc )

Perhaps can you rename this issue as 'Mailmerge crash' instead of 'Mailmerge
performance decrease'

The memory crash related duplicate is issue 47235.
Issue 40827 is about the performance of the merges. 

->fchauvat: You can still use the old mail merge dialog. You just have to
configure it in tools/customize in the category 'Documents' command 'Mail Merge'
