When you try to copy an image and paste it in a different location in a 
document for the first time. The operation succeeds. But if you do the same 
thing second time with a different image, the edit - paste is disabled and 
Cntrl + V does not work. You need to basically close the doicument and reopen 
it to copy an image for the second time.

The same error is also there with cut and paste operation.

I cannot reproduce it in src680m102.
Pleaser add a sample document and describe step by step what you copy/paste from
where to where and how.
Also please check this in a newer build then SO Beta.
