Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 49742
Alpha-numeric paragraph numbering won't import from Word 2003?
Last modified: 2017-05-20 11:19:44 UTC
I just tried importing my new book from Word 2003, into OO2 Build 104, and the alpha-numeric paragraph numbering looks broken. Instead of displaying headings like this: 1. Intro 2. Boy A. Index B. References OO2 is displaying this: 1. Intro 2. Boy 0. Index 0. References ANyone else seen this behaviour? FOr me (and I suspect lots of others) the ability for OO2 to import pixel-perfect Word documents is critical. With this perfect compabiilty, we all be buying O12 instead :( R.

MRU->HBRINKM: the numberings here are wrong in the first point (starts with "0") and mixed up.

Uh, hmm, that's becuase OO2 breaks the auto-numbering scheme! I have uploaded a new test document that includes screenshots of the broken behaviour in OO2 Build 104. I hope this helps confirm this defect. >>MRU->HBRINKM: the numberings here are wrong in the first point (starts with "0") and mixed up. Regards, Richard.
