Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 49825
Can not open ODT created by export from html document
Last modified: 2013-08-07 14:42:16 UTC
Please open the HTML file containing tables inside tables. In OOo Writer, Export -- > ODT -- > Save. Close this file. Then re-open. An error message occurs: Read-Error Format error discovered in the file in sub-document styles.xml at 2,0(row,col).

I can confirm that Problem with 2.0 (1.9.m79) (German) WIN XP: [680m79(Build8876)] Same error message as in issue 44896, so I added "depends on", but relation should be checked. Reporter, can you please specify tne actual OOo version you used when you found the problem? Teh question is: Export or Import problem, I can not decide.
Is it really sure that the tables cause the problem?
I checked with 2.0 (1.9.m91) English version WIN XP: [680m91(Build8895)] and was abe to reproduce that error with any .odt created by export from OOo HTML editor. Due to my suspect (May 24 22:40:01 -0700 2005 ) I changed subcomponent from "open impor" to "save export". As long as it seems that any html export fails severity seems to zustify Priority 2
I used OOo 1.9.100. The HTML file seems to be changed by OOo. Originally, I used Mozilla Composer to create the tables. I will attach a file created by Composer with similar nested tables. I can duplicate this issue from the second file I make.

Hi, rainerbielefeld, You are right. Not only the tables. I cannot open ODT exported from HTML even with only texts in HTML.
Reassigned to ES.
-> rainerbielefeld: yes, it's a duplicate issue 44896. Thank you for noticing it! Your work really helps a lot! :) *** This issue has been marked as a duplicate of 44896 ***
