Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 49963
Revision history as auto generated index
Last modified: 2017-05-20 10:13:05 UTC
Technical documents usually have a revision history, showing the date, a version number, who made changes and what was changed. I therefore propose the following extension to OpenOffice.org Writer. 1.) Extension of the versioning feature to carry more metainformation, i.e - a version number (free form text field, carrying for example "Draft A", "Version 1") - a field showing who made changes (not necessarily the person creating the version, so a free input field with the current editor preselected) - a checkbox to note whether the version is public - a "short description" to be displayed in the revision history in the document - possibly more or even user-defined fields 2.) A new index type showing the version history with the following features - Selection wheter all version or only public version shall be shown - Selection of fields to be shown
