Description mci 2005-05-31 09:54:49 UTC
Created a writer document on PC A...
Brought document to PC B and opened the file...
==> Writer substituted a lot of fonts and changed fontsize from 12 to 21
--> Index, caption of graphics, sometimes: table content...
Brought document to SUNRAY
==> same procedure as on PC B...

as discussed with sba I set the target to OOo 2.0.1

Hi fme,

this problem seems to be language dependent!

starting Office out of english locale: wrong fonts/font sizes
starting Office out of german locale: OK...
starting Office out of french locale: OK...

I'll attach a small smple document...

Comment 5 frank.meies 2005-05-31 14:57:48 UTC
FME: Reproducible this way:

1. Open German Office
2. Insert some text, apply paragraph style "Verzeichnis" to this text
3. Create new paragraph style "Index" (which is the English translation of
"Verzeichnis")
4. Save document, open in English office => paragraph style "Index" is set for
the text.

This problem occurs, if you use the built-in style A, create a new Style B (with
B the translation of A into language L) and open the document in an Office with
UI language set to L.

Hi,

this happens to captions (graphics) and (sometimes) tables as well.
(In the attached sample document I removed the graphics due to size problems...)

This happens if you use the style "Subtitle", too...

And I'm very sure I didn't create an own style...

seems very much like issue 48577
Please check whether it is a duplicate. Thank you.

*** Issue 48577 has been marked as a duplicate of this issue. ***
Comment 9 frank.meies 2005-06-07 14:14:59 UTC
FME: Still investigating where these strange paragraph styles ("Index", "Body
Text", "caption", "Subtitle") come from.
Comment 10 frank.meies 2005-06-17 08:38:38 UTC
FME->FLR: I think these additional paragraph styles come pasting RTF text. Looks
like this issue is somehow related to issue 20264, please have a look at
SwRTFWriter::XlateFmtName().
Comment 11 flr 2005-08-25 13:48:20 UTC
flr:
I attached a new bugdoc, which shows the problem.
When looking at the content.xml/styles.xml you can see, that there exist two
paragraph styles: "Index" and "Index (user)".
On load the suffix (user) will be stripped off by the
SwStyleNameMapper::FillUIName name method, such that on load only a style
"Index" exists, which leads to the wrong layout.

After a discussion with OD and FME we decided not to fix this problem now,
because it would be to risky.
