Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 50737
All empty cells in a large spreadsheet are missing
Last modified: 2005-06-29 14:10:50 UTC
I opened an OOcalc document that was working fine a couple of days ago. I opened it now only to find that it had lost all the empty cells resulting in none of the data being in it's correct column.
Created attachment 27177 [details] The file with the problem (please respect this is commercially sensetive data).
Hi, I'm sorry to tell you, but this description isn't valid. Please describe step by step what's going wrong. Frank
The problem is that between saving in OO1.1.3 and opening in OO1.1.4 (linux debian sarge), that any empty cells were deleted which meant all the data and formula bearing cells moved towards the left. eg: | data | Empty Cell| data | more data | Empty Cell | even more data | became | data | data | more data | even more data | consistently through the entire spreadsheet. There where no errors that I recall when I last saved the document before this problem occurred. This is so far the only time I have experienced this problem, it did not occur with other similar spreadsheets.
Hi, I'm sorry to tell you, but using hundrets of thousands of documents we never have experienced such problems. Tried it with several more documents and can't reproduce. So I have no other choice as closing this Issue as worksforme. BTW please use the latest stable version from OOo. Frank
