Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 51423
Open read only document
Last modified: 2013-02-24 21:10:03 UTC
I would like to program a macro so that when a users loads a read only document the document is automatically opened as a new document for editing. I know that if the user right clicks & selects edit and then answers the next 2 questions they can achieve this manually, but I'd like the whole process to be automated and transparent to the user. Any suggestions. I know this is probably not the correct place for this sort of question, but I've tried everywhere else, so this seems the best place to talk to the OOo developers who will know best. Regards MARK
resolving as INVALID. whizzy: Please use oooforum.org or dev@api.openoffice.org mailinglist to find answers to your question. This is not the right place to discuss such things, I am sorry.
sw->whizzy: for loading the document you could set the parameter "AsTemplate" to true, which will open your document in rw mode and can be saved to an arbitrary other place too. As cyb already noted ... for further questions please use the mailing list
