Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 52325
Some gradient and texture modes look different in slideshow
Last modified: 2017-05-20 10:22:34 UTC
See the attached bugdoc: non-tiled bitmap fills and certain sets of gradients are not mapped correctly in slideshow.

Set a target. This is broken functionality (relative to 1.1).
Retargetted to 2.0.3.
Retargetted to 2.0.4 due to resource constraints.

this looks like the same issue as https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/openoffice.org/+bug/94672 there is a test file http://launchpadlibrarian.net/7715635/test.odp
set target 3.x
Could be partly fixed by the patch with Issue 58702...
I applied patch from issue 58702, fixing non tiled bitmap fills at least for vcl canvas. Still the other canvas implementations still show the tilling bug
@aw: actually, I have a patch for that. ;)

Committing my gradient rework to CWS thbfixes10.
@aw: so I guess _now_ is the time to start thinking about the different display of rectangular and ellipsoidal gradients, with aspect ratios != 1. Looking at the way 3D shapes render those gradients, and also how the whole rest of the world (including native implementations in graphics APIs) does it, lets me favor the procedural texture approach vs. the single-line-in-the-center-generating, polygon scaling version. The latter is badly legacy; fortunately ODF does not restrict the actual rendering in any way, so we should be fairly free to change it. What do you think?
Fixed in CWS thbfixes10 (slight twist for cairocanvas, cairo up to 1.4 has a bug that renders non-tiled pattern fills incorrectly).
target.

@wg: fixed in cws thbfixes10, please verify.
Verified in CWS.
