Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 52784
Unwanted results with Autocomplete - Can't Disable Auto-Complete
Last modified: 2005-08-08 15:12:39 UTC
For example: a spreadsheet with the Word "User" in the first row. If I want to type "user" in a row below, it always will be changed to "User" by the Autocomplete function. there is no possibility to type "user" - (only with "search and replace" function) There is no posibility to disable "Autocomplete".
Working with vers. 1.9.97 - German localisation
Working with OO 1.9.118 - same thing. The other way to get aroud it is to select the cell and from the format menu select "change case" to lower case, stil it would be good to disable the autocomplete or retype as wanted.
I confirm this happens also in OOo 1.9.122 for Windows.
Hi, to disable the *Autoinput* as it's named in Calc because it's a different thing as in Writer, use Tools - Cell Content - Autoinput to disable the autoinput feature. Frank

Thanks for the hint! I am happy with that. In German localisation it is "Extras - Zellinhalte - Autoeingabe"
