Description keithh 2005-08-04 20:10:15 UTC
I'm noticing that the display is not being properly updated when I delete either
a range of characters or when use a key bound to "Delete To End Of Line" or
"Delete To End Of Paragraph".

The deleted text remains on the display but if I scroll off that page and then
back on, the display properly shows the blank area.

Please add a step by step description, a screen shot and a sample document.

I'm sorry, I can't reproduce the problem. It turns out that it was more than
just the keyboard shortcuts that were messed up. Pretty much nothing was being
updated properly until the page was redisplayed. I quit out and relaunched
soffice and the problem was gone.

However, I do periodically get display update problems of another sort: often
when I drag a tab (or other marker), the shadow line isn't properly cleaned up
as it moves. The result is black vertical lines which are cleared when the page
is scrolled back and forth.

This latter problem has been around for many releases and I suspect it is a dup.
If so, you can turf this issue. If not, I've uploaded an example. I've noticed
that the problem seems to be worse when there is more on the display. If I
shrink the window, or on pages which have less text, the problem is less likely
to appear.

You cannot reproduce the issue you reported. Fine! Closing as WORKSFORME.
The other problem is (indeed) another problem which is tracked under issue 50954.
