Description skelem 2005-08-05 00:03:25 UTC
Create a presentation with a page layout that has a spreadsheet.
Double-click the "click here for a spreadsheet".
Put some stuff in a 4x4 array of cells in the upper-left corner.
One by one, select each column and resize (by clicking on the border on the
right of each column between the column lables).
Resize the spreadsheet to show only those 4 columns and rows.
Position the cursor over the middle resize button on the right side of the
spreadsheet...wait until the cursor turns into a "resize" cursor instead of a
"move the spreadsheet" cursor.
Click on the button, but don't move the cursor.
The spreadsheet shrinks instead of staying the same size.
Do this a few times and the spreadsheet will shrink so far that text gets
compressed horizontally!
Reszing a column doesn't fix the text compression.
Setting the format for these cells doesn't fix the text compression.
Undo doesn't fix it either!

Reproducible.
The spreadsheet shrinks or gets a bit bigger, but this cannot be determined.
Comment 2 wolframgarten 2005-08-05 07:50:02 UTC
Reassigned.

Takemine also has found this phenomenon and some members in the Japanese
community, Kawahara, tabotabo, curvirgo, Otsuki,... have confirmed this.

Is this difficult to fix? Maybe not.
