Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 53198
Outline from SO5.2 document lost in OO2.0
Last modified: 2013-08-07 14:42:16 UTC
Please open the file http://www.openoffice.org/nonav/issues/showattachment.cgi/28650/part2.sdw (issue 53197) with StarOffice 5.2 and compare it with m121. For those volunteers, who can't get this old application, see http://www.openoffice.org/nonav/issues/showattachment.cgi/28650/part2.pdf. I've marked the changes in the pdf-file. You can't update the TOC, cause the outline numbering of the paragraph style was not imported. Regards Peter
MRU->HBRINKM: Outline settings from SO5.2 document is completely lost. Thus the TOC cannot b updated at all.

OD: taking over
main defect fixed in cws swnumtree - changed files: /sw/source/core/unocore/unoobj.cxx, 1.84.180.3 /xmloff/source/text/txtimp.cxx, 1.116.82.1 defect cause: - outline node array not updated on setting outline level via UNO-API. - handling of outline level on importing paragraph completely wrong: - numbering rule was set directly at paragraph. - numbering rule was made an outline rule. - outline level was not set. - relation between paragraph style and outline level was not assured. defect left after the made changes: The paragraph "foo1.1.1" isn't correctly numbered. It gets number 0.0.1 instead of 1.1.1 This seems to be a initialization problem after load caused by the unnumbered paragraphs "blabla" and "bla" before this paragraph. Number can be corrected by deleting the numbering rule at the unnumbered paragraphs and undoing these actions.
OD->HBRINKM: Please take over for the remaining defect.

Correctly marking as "fixed".
Verified fix in CWS swnumtree.
Checked fix in build 680m139.
I checked the sdw-document again with 2.0.1RC4. It is imported correctly, but try to update the TOC (see my first comment)! It doesn't work. And what about the empty chapter field in the header on page 2 (see duplicate issue 53197). Should I file a separate issue? Regards Peter
I had a closer look into the document and the problem regarding the Chapter field and the non-updatable TOC is a bit deeper (e.g. there are also "hard" numberings on the heading paragraphs). I will file new issues for this. This issue here will be kept closed, because the issue regarding the Outline settings (mentioned in the summary) is fixed.
I have submitted thre new issues: 59342, 59343 and 59346. Closing this one.
