Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 5337
Save crashes on networked drive
Last modified: 2003-09-08 16:56:16 UTC
OpenOffice seems to crash every time one tries to save a file on a network mounted directory. In my case the directory is a mounted Novell Netware 3.11 volume, with OS2 name space enabled. How to reproduce the bug: - Copy a file to the mounted directory (e.g.: /mnt/Novell/somewhere/file.xsw) - Open it in writer - Modify something - Save - Bang. Writer goes dead and deletes the file !!!! This also happens if the file is a symlink on the local filesystem pointing to a networked file. My system: Linux-i386 kernel version 2.4.16-SuSE running on heavily patched SuSE-7.2/7.3 XFree-4.2.0, KDE 3.0.1, glibc-2.2.2, OpenOffice.org 1.0.0
