Dzongkha support for ICU3.4

Eike, Please find attached the patch to include Dzongkha(Tibetan script) in icu3.4. You can find the necessary font for testing in http://cvs.sourceforge.net/viewcvs.py/thdltools/Fonts/TibetanMachineUni/TibetanMachineUniAlpha.ttf?rev=1.1.1.1&view=log The zipped file contains 4 new files for the Layout folder(icu/source/layout) and the patch for LayoutEngine.cpp (icu/source/layout). We are also including the sample.txt file (UTF-16) for testing using gnomelayout(icu/source/sample/layout).

Hi Pema, Thanks for the update. For OOoLater we plan to upgrade to ICU 3.4 and later. Probably this will be at least ICU 3.6 by then and hopefully that will have Dzongkha support already included, so I'm putting this patch on hold until we move on, and apply it only if ICU won't have included Dzongkha by the time we'll release the next version of OOo. Eike, The Dzongkha ICU module has been sent to Eric Mader at IBM. He had tested it and has told us that he will include it in the CVS after they receive my JCA by mail.
So, has Dzongkha support been included in ICU?
st, Dzongkha support is now incorporated in ICU 3.6.

I have applied the patch to 3.4.1, but re-ordering does not take place. See attached screen shot on linux platform. The URL for fonts provided in this issue does not work anymore, could someone point me to other location I can download font for testing on Window platform.

Khong, First I would like to thank all of you for adding an ICU 3.4 patch for Dzongkha. The TibetanMachineFont can be downloaded from this url http://www.thdl.org/tools/download.html?tmu It is also available in debain testing repository as ttf-tmuni. Another alternative font called ttf-dzongkha is also available in Debian testing repository(which can be downloaded from http://sourceforge.net/projects/dzongkha or http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=115503 and the file is named as jomolhari0.2) I had a look at your screen shots and found that most of the combining consonanats were not rendered properly. It could be that the writer could not find the correct fonts for Dzongkha language... Many Thanks Pema Geyleg
The target of icuupgrade cws is 2.0.5 -> changing the target of this issue as well.
Retargeting to 2.1. Note that if ICU 3.6 will be out in time we don't need this patch anymore as it will be included then in ICU.
Current work in CWS 'icuupgrade' is upgrading to ICU 3.6, which already has Dzongkha support. This issue here is moot now. Karl, please remove the issue from the CWS in EIS. Thanks Eike
