Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 53989
shapes lose position when pasted
Last modified: 2017-05-20 11:25:43 UTC
I will attach a test document "BadPasteTest.odt" and some screenshots. Using the test case, BadPasteTest.odt, the _little ticks_ are not in the same position after the paste as they are in the orginal shape group. To reproduce the bug, use the sample text document, BadPasteTest.odt. 1) Click the blue shape at the bottom of the page to produce the arrow cursor (as apposed to the I beam). 2) Use the mouse to select the entire shape and all ticks. (Press and hold mouse button about 1/2 inch to the upper left of the shape, drag the mouse down past the sample shape to the lower right (about 1/2 inch past the shape). This will select the shape and all tick marks.) 3) copy the selection, (ctrl-c). 5) paste, (ctrl-v) 6) notice how the pasted shape is not like the orginal. The tick on the right sould be on the lower section of the shape. But after paste it is too high. bug 45952 did not fix this. bug 47455 did not fix this. This problem has occured since the fix of the above mentioned bugs and is present in build 1.9.119 thru 1.9.125=(2.0 beta 2). Previous builds had worse problems.

MRU->OD: the small line on the right of the object combination at the bottom of the page will be placed wrongly when pasted. Just select the objects (including the blue polygon and the three line) at the bottom and paste in one of the paragraphs below.
