Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 5437
duplicate user jhunter
Last modified: 2003-12-27 10:23:17 UTC
Hi, new user Jonathan Hunter tried to file an issue. He couldn't b/c the IZ user jhunter's file had been disabled. As we all fondly recall, jhunter was none other than jason hunter. His user identity was deleted. Logically, IZ should have mapped the users in the databases with each other and compensated accordingly. However, I suspect that the ITR fix has made it that disabled IZ user jhunter lingers as a ghost in the IZ machine, making in it impossible for other jhunters to have a place. We can restore jhunter's permissions in IZ; but the reason I didn't do that was b/c I was concerned there would be repercussions. Best Louis
Hi, I can re-enable the account but not modify the name field. It is still reflecting the original user of that username. A database change can be requested, but it would be more practical for the end user to choose a new moniker - maybe j_hunter? Thank you
closing as practically resolved. louis
