Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 54677
staticised pages not updated
Last modified: 2006-11-15 21:30:07 UTC
Hi download/www/2.0beta2/instructions.html was updated Date: 2005/09/16 02:47:44 $ $Revision: 1.4 but as of 23:19 (-0400) the update was not published. It seems that there is an anomalous lag. Would support be able to look into this? For reference, see also http://www.openoffice.org/issues/ show_bug.cgi?id=53947 thanks Louis
Hi Louis, Accepting the issue, will get back to you soon on this once we get an update from the engineers regarding it. Thanks, Kavitha-Helpdesk
I have also seen this behaviour. Can verify it occurs.
Hi Louis, Can you please verify now and let us know whether the update was published. Thanks, Kavitha-Helpdesk
I can answer that. No the pages have not been published. The pages in question are http://download.openoffice.org/2.0beta2/instructions.html http://download.openoffice.org/2.0beta2/index.html Hope this helps.
I can confirm grsingleton's point. Published CVS date is : Date: 2005/04/26 21:32:52 $ $Revision: 1.8 . However, the date/revision of the document in CVS is: $Date: 2005/09/16 02:47:44 $ $Revision: 1.4 $. Louis
There are more (all?) files affected. See issue 54669. We are not able to update most hit pages like those mentioned in this issue for the OpenOffice.org Conference and the download pages mentioned hier in this issue. Raising Prio to 2.
support, can you please provide us with a short update on what engineers are doing to resolve the staticisation issue? thanks Louis
Louis, The engineers are still on the root cause of the issue. Will update as soon as I get further response from them. Thanks for your patience. Thanks. Aarthi-Helpdesk.
Louis, The pages have been updated. Could you please verify if the updates are getting published. Thanks, Karishma-Helpdesk
Hi, The new FAQ item I've uploaded 30 hours ago is still not showing. http://fr.openoffice.org/source/browse/fr/www/FAQ/presentation_fr/ This is not a problem for the FAQ item, but much more if I can't update the page for the RC I'm afraid that every body will go to the main server once announced and not to the mirror if they can't find it easily. Or is there a way to force the upload only for the download page ? Thanks in advance. Kind regards - Sophie
support, please let us know what is going on ? thanks Louis
Louis, I have updated the Ops on this issue. Will get back to you with their response. Thanks, Karishma-Helpdesk
Louis, The page http://fr.openoffice.org/source/browse/fr/www/FAQ/presentation_fr/ has been updated. Please confirm the same. Thanks, Karishma-Helpdesk
going to the french page, http://fr.openoffice.org/source/browse/fr/www/FAQ/presentation_fr/, it is not staticised. I can see that I am logged in. A staticised page would not reflect my logged in status. Please staticise the page. Thanks Louis
Louis I have updated my engineers on this and would get back to you as soon as the task is done. Regards Karthik-Helpdesk
Louis, The page http://fr.openoffice.org/source/browse/fr/www/FAQ/presentation_fr/ has been staticised. Please verify. Regards Karthik-Helpdesk
it is not staticised. Please staticise. To check, see if you are logged in at the upper right. If you can see that you are, then it is not staticised. Louis
Hey, can we stick to subject of this issue. http://fr.openoffice.org/source/browse/fr/www/FAQ/presentation_fr/ is a dynamic page presenting the content of the CVS repository. http://fr.openoffice.org/FAQ/presentation_fr/ is a staticized page. I assume Sophie had a problem with the latter. I changed fr/www/FAQ/presentation_fr/index.html in the repository and the change was visible at http://fr.openoffice.org/FAQ/presentation_fr/ in minutes. So I consider the problem solved for this page.
thanks stefan. Sorry for being missing that. louis
Files in the CVS repository directory download/www/2.0.0rc have been updated but are not showing up at the URL http://download.openoffice.org/2.0.0rc/. Esp http://download.openoffice.org/2.0.0rc/index.html http://download.openoffice.org/2.0.0rc/md5sums.html http://download.openoffice.org/2.0.0rc/ooo2.0rc.js http://download.openoffice.org/2.0.0rc/index-nojs.html http://download.openoffice.org/2.0.0rc/source.html Are still refering to RC2 instead of RC3.
I have updated the engineers on the task and would let you know as soon as the task is done. Regards Karthik-Helpdesk
The task is complete could you please verify now and close the case. Regards Karthik-Helpdesk
This problem is not fixed. Webpages are not updated in a timely manner. For example, I updated http://documentation.openoffice.org/setup_guide2/index.html and http://documentation.openoffice.org/setup_guide2/2.x/en/* on 2005-10-18 at 09:05:41 PDT and the new files are not showing up. This is the Rev A release of the SETUP GUIDE which is supposed to be included with the release.
Added Scott to cc
BTW, the first update to http://documentation.openoffice.org/setup_guide2/index.html was over 48 hours ago. Can we get these updates handled in a reasonable timespan? Please.
I have to agree with grsingleton. I changed download/www/2.0.0rc/md5sums.html to Rev 1.14 some hours ago and the change is still not visible at http://download.openoffice.org/2.0.0rc/md5sums.html
hi support i realise you are busy right now, but would it be possible to have an update on this issue? the help guides are fairly important for the release thanks Louis
Louis, The Operations are currently working on this. Will get back to you soon with the status. Thanks, Karishma-Helpdesk
The page http://download.openoffice.org/2.0.0rc/md5sums.html has been re- statcised and I could see that the revision number on the web is also 1.14 Please verify the same. Regards Karthik-Helpdesk
verified. Wrt the other files? Louis
Louis, The other files: http://documentation.openoffice.org/setup_guide2/index.html http://documentation.openoffice.org/setup_guide2/2.x/en/* have also been staticised. Please verify the same. Thanks, Karishma-Helpdesk
