Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 55353
modifing the table borders does not work correctly via toolbar controller
Last modified: 2017-05-20 11:25:44 UTC
After I created a 2 cell table in Writer, clicked a cell then tryed to format the borders of the cell from the table toolbar. To have only one top line or to have just both sides and nothing happened. I was then able to remove all the borders. once I had the borders gone I was able just to add one or two borders.
MRU->OS: assigning border (like the "only left and right" or "top and bottom") via controller of toolbar does not work on single cells.
I have got the same problem (OpenOffice.org 2.0.4 Writer). Border and Line Style buttons do not affect cells borders. When a file contained such a table with double lined borders created with the a.m. buttons is saved, closed and opened, double lined borders disappeared.

In 2.1.0 on WinXP SP2, I tried changing both the line style and color using the Table toolbar, but neither one stays selected, and in fact I have to choose the line style twice just to make it appear selected (the icon looks indented). What I get when I click the border button to apply borders is the default 0.5 pt black border. Even going to the Table Format dialog, Borders tab and changing the line style to a double line there doesn't work. It too reverts and applies the black 0.5 pt line. (Trying that a second time, I made a change to which borders to apply. This time the color setting stayed but I still got a 0.5 pt line style.)
Reset assigne to the default "issues@openoffice.apache.org".
