Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 55605
Custom heading numbers not correctly imported from Word
Last modified: 2017-05-20 11:19:27 UTC
I have a document with the following heading numbers in Word 2003: 1 2 2.1 2.2 2.3 2.4 2.5 2.6 2.7 2.8 2.9 3 When I import it into OOWriter, I get the following heading numbers: 1 2 <none> <none> 3 <none> 4 5 6 7 8 9

I'm running Fedora Core 4, here is the specific OOo version: # rpm -qa|grep office openoffice.org-javafilter-1.9.125-1.1.0.fc4 openoffice.org-xsltfilter-1.9.125-1.1.0.fc4 openoffice.org-core-1.9.125-1.1.0.fc4 openoffice.org-writer-1.9.125-1.1.0.fc4 openoffice.org-calc-1.9.125-1.1.0.fc4 openoffice.org-draw-1.9.125-1.1.0.fc4 openoffice.org-graphicfilter-1.9.125-1.1.0.fc4 openoffice.org-impress-1.9.125-1.1.0.fc4 openoffice.org-math-1.9.125-1.1.0.fc4
MRU->HBRINKM: that's a good thing, when the "BulletNumbering 2" enhancements will be implemented into Writer for next version.
I have a document that does not have the second line numbering after import. This issue crops up with all documents in my company and makes OO.org completely useless for legal work. (Tested with Openoffice.org-2.0.4) I attach a sample document for testing.
