Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 56655
Remove SISSL from the License field on subproject pages
Last modified: 2005-11-10 22:51:27 UTC
After the SISSL license is no more in use in the OpenOffice.org project then the license should also be deleted in the license field on each subproject's front page like http://wp.openoffice.org/ and http://oopm.openoffice.org/ Maybe this issue is submitted in the wrong component but then please move it to "website".
hi I've thought about this too. SISSL is still used for 1.x but not for 2.0 RC and beyond. The field should be changed. Adding mh and st. Support, please change the license field to LGPL only. If the change requires a new version or major work, please indicate this. thanks louis
Hi louis, The subproject's front page of http://wp.openoffice.org/ and http://oopm.openoffice.org/ are changed to LGPL license. Please verify. Can you please let us know whether the SISSL/LGPL license need to be changed site-wide or just for the above sub-projects. Thanks, Kavitha-Helpdesk
SISSL has been dropped site-wide. All projects can be changed LGPL.
and, the default license for any new project should henceforth be only LGPL thanks louis
Taking issue and filing an internal ticket to ops for removing the license SISSL. Thanks, Kavitha-Helpdesk
Hi Louis The license SISSL has been changed to *invalid*,please check the url: http://www.openoffice.org/servlets/LicenseList.So when we create a new project you would not see the license SISSL in the license option list and it would show as invalid. Please check http://www.openoffice.org/servlets/ProjectAdd Let me know if this is Ok with you. Regards Karthik-helpdesk
thanks! sorry, I didn't know I could do this myself as a domain admin. louis

There are some projects with a non-static homepage left with a License "*Invalid*". See http://ucb.openoffice.org/ Is there a list available of the projects using a specific license? Is there a way to change all projects at a time?
