Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 57001
Pasting from Microsoft OneNote does not work
Last modified: 2014-02-13 17:22:35 UTC
Copy any text from the Microsoft OneNote application. View clipboard text using clipbrd.exe shows the copied text. Attempting to paste in any OOo application, either in 2.0 or 1.1.x, will not work. CTRL-v does not paste anything, and neither the context-sensitive popup menus or the Edit menu shows the Paste command, so it is not possible to paste that way either. It is possible to paste into any MS Office application, as well as virtually every other program on my machine, including write.exe, notepad.exe, and various other non-MS applications. This is specific to OOo. As a workaround (albeit a rather annoying one), copying the text from OneNote into any other application, then recopying from that application and pasting in OOo works. Also, you can drag text from OneNote to OOo, but doing so deletes behind in OneNote, so you must then recover by using Undo.
Confirmed with OOo 2.1 and OneNote 2003. When text has been placed on the clipboard by onenote, it won't paste, and all of the clipboard commands in the edit menu are greyed out.
TM->requirements: please have a look. Not a defect, but a wish for an enhancement.
