Description thepianoguy 2005-11-10 22:32:24 UTC
I write down stuff at university in OOo and one of the issues I encountered was
that sometimes objects (usually vector drawings made in OOo Draw) loose their
offset.

A good example is at:
http://193.95.242.3/tmp/APS-I-zapiski.odt

You can see a diagram how the "stack" works at the ruller position X=20063 and
Y=999, where ruller measure is centimeter I think. Well, the diagram should be
under the "Implementacija z enosmernim seznamom" under major heading "ADT sklad
(eng. Stack)". I believe the document is saved fine (you can see the anchor is
correctly placed). The bug only appears in positioning, formating and rendering
the object at the correct position or something.

This is not the first time I'm seeing this kind of an issue (and these issues
with randomly objects loosing position is present until at least OOo1.1 beta) so
I think there must be a bug.

Using stable OOo2.0 under Debian.

MRU->OD: at the very bottom of the document, there are some object groups, which
have very large positioning values. I have tried to correct these to more useful
values, but after saving and reopening the file, these vaues were again corrupted.
Comment 2 Mathias_Bauer 2006-01-23 11:08:23 UTC
We will not finish this in 2.0.2 -> retargetting to 2.0.3
Comment 3 Oliver-Rainer Wittmann 2006-05-15 12:00:45 UTC
retarget to OOo 2.x, because deadline of OOo 2.0.3 missed.
Comment 4 Oliver-Rainer Wittmann 2006-05-22 07:19:18 UTC
OD->MRU:
Investigation reveals, that the document it somehow corrupted - it contains
objects with large positioning values. But, If I change the position of these
objects after load, save the document and reload it, everything is fine (I've
used SRC680m168).
Please verify and close this issue.
Comment 5 michael.ruess 2006-05-24 14:27:39 UTC
There is still one object (group) which won't be corrected after changing the
position attributes and reopening the document (of course after saving). Maybe
we have a look together next week.
Comment 6 michael.ruess 2006-06-16 11:52:19 UTC
Was an error in my eyes...
Yes, with OO 2.0.3 the correction of the objects works fine.
Comment 7 michael.ruess 2006-06-16 11:53:36 UTC
Setting state to "fixed" as long as it is now possible to correct the position
of the objects properly.

Comment 11 vbauge 2006-07-31 15:55:14 UTC
I have reported Issue #: 66639, which is marked as a duplicate of this issue. I
see that this issue is marked as resolved in OOo 2.0.3. The document I have
enclosed with Issue #: 66639 is made with OOo 2.0.3, and the problem is still
present.
So I enclose the same document here, together with some of the picture documents:

The document on page 3, is drawn in Dia, a diagram editor for Linux, exported to
PNG and inserted into the writer decument. Title: protokol.png

The document on page 33 (34), 35 and 36 is made with OOo Draw, and cut'n'pasted
into the Writer document. Titles: p33 arbejdsgang_stop_og_vent.odg, p35
gobackn.odg and p36 selective_repeat.odg.
