Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 57863
Modal message box about disabled macros (on Macro Security Level "High" and "Very High") are interruptive
Last modified: 2013-02-07 21:55:11 UTC
On Macro Security Level "High" and "Very High", when you open a document containing macros, which are not executed due to security settings, this is announced to the user with a modal message box. This box is annoying and interruptive, and most probably not necessary at this point. I suggest it should - if at all - appear at the moment a macro is really triggered (and prevented from execution), since this is the point in time where the user needs to know about it. fs->flo: I took the liberty to submit this to you, as you're the owner of http://specs.openoffice.org/appwide/security/Electronic_Signatures_and_Security.sxw. In the respective chapter in this spec, there's a note saying "We need to have a configuration entry to suppress this dialog (no GUI needed).", which lets me assume that the need to suppress this dialog is known :)
Set target. Still valid issue, but don't know when we will have the possibility to do so.
