Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 59030
Spelling: "Change all" does not work when typing custom suggestion in preview box
Last modified: 2017-05-20 11:25:47 UTC
OOo 2.01 rc 2 on WIndows XP Steps to reproduce the problem * Paste following lines into an empty document Jook I am herw. Jook I am herw again. Jook am herw. Jook l am herw... Jook Herw l am. Here I am, jook. * Run spellcheck (Tools - Spelcheck or F7) * Jook is not correct, should become Look. Because of the issue with capitalisation (49859), we cannot select "look". Double-click the red "Jook" in the "Not in dictionary" box to select it, then type "Look". Then click "Change All". Click change or change all for the next suggestion, and then, the next Jook is presented again, although we clicked "Change all" the previous time it was encountered.
Reassigned to SBA.
I can confirm this with 2.0.1 RC4 on WinXP As it worked fine in 1.1.5 with "Always replace", this is a regression BTW: correct number of mentioned capitalization issue is 49895 changed status to new, setting keywords
SBA: I am currently evaluating CWS Hunspell (that will replace Myspell). After its integration, several issues about spell checking must have a second look, including those with capitalisation. This very example does not occur any more because "Look" is now coming up as a suggestion for "Jook". Nevertheless, editing in the preview box should not act as if "Change all" can work. So the solution must be to disable the "Change all" button when the user edits the text. Reassigned to OS. Target set to OOo later.
Reset assigne to the default "issues@openoffice.apache.org".
