Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 5988
commit-access for de-members
Last modified: 2003-12-06 14:52:32 UTC
This issue replaces 2473, which has become quite full of attachments, comments etc. The purpose is to provide a single place for request for loading keys for ssh2-access need for CVS. It may be closed when a task has been carried out and will be reopend if a new key of an existing or new member is to be added. Requests for new mebers' key to be added will come from Timon Schroeter <timon@OOo> and Manfred Reiter <fredao@OOo>, the de-project's owners.
*** Issue 2473 has been marked as a duplicate of this issue. ***

Hi, please upload the public key of Friedemann Schuetz, fschuetz@openoffice.org , he is listed on the copyrightapproved-page, has been with us for a while and should have cvs-commit-access. For some reason I can (again) not grant other roles that "content viewer" for the de-Project, while adding users. Is there a special different way to do this or does the problem lie elsewhere? As we have not yet completely moved to de, please also give him the dvelopers-role for lang. Thanks, Timon
Ths request has been entered with operations, I will let you know when the key has been added. Thank you, Kat
Friedemann, Your key has been added for tunnel access. Please let us know if you have any problems. Thank you, Kat
Kathy, Access granted, there are no problems. Thanks! Regards, Friedemann Schuetz
timon You should be able to grant people access to the moon, SC permitting. ;) to add roles, click on "add member" even if the person is already a member of the project. then stipulate the roles you want. let me know if this helps. louis
Hi Louis, > let me know if this helps. It doesn't, I double checked. I can add them "content viewer", that is it. Similar to the situation before I last asked you about it and you did some magic trick after which I could add everybody. At that time you were going to do a non permanent tweak to let this happen, afterwards you decided to leave things the new way to let us add members without asking you everytime. Seems things changed again :-| Timon
Timon, I was able to grant the Developer role in de to Friedemann. Content Viewer was the only role shown in the selection box, but by hitting the scroll-down arrow was able to select the Developer option. Kat
Hi Kat, > I was able to grant the Developer role in de to > Friedemann. Content Viewer was the only role > shown in the selection box, but by hitting > the scroll-down arrow was able to select the Developer option. Yes, that works for me, too :-) Thanks for the hint. Timon

Hello, I *STILL* cannot logon via SSH tunnel. Did you already add my key to the server, or is it a problem on my side? Thanks, Florian
Keneth, will you see what is happening with Florian's key? Florian, have you reviewed the SSHGuide? http://www.openoffice.org/docs/ ddSSHGuide.html? Louis

Hello all, yes, I read the howto. I have attached a log file from the -v -v -v verbose mode of SSH, hope someone sees the mistake in there ;-) Thanks! Florian
Florian, obvious errror: your command is ssh It *needs* to be ssh -2 -x -L 2401:localhost:2401 tunnel@openoffice.org louis
Hi Louis, err, that *IS* my command? I am logged on as root to my Linux box, could this cause any trouble? Florian
Hi you have ssh -v -v -v -2 -x -L 2401:localhost:2401 tunnel@openoffice.org You are correct: I misread and didn't see the -2. I just tried what you have and it worked fine with me. I don't know really what is going on. Kenneth: can you help? louis
I beleive you need to add the -i flag and the keyname eg: ssh -2 -i /keys/kenneth-oo -L 2401:localhost:2401 tunnel@openoffice.org Try that and add the results to this ticket please. Thanks
Tried that, does not work :-( Log is attached.

Florian- I resubmitted your key to the operations group and had it added to the server again. Can you try again for me? Thanks
Thanks a lot, now it works :)
Err... next problem ;) Could someone please add me as rw? (Timon?) === User floeff doesnt have <Commit> access to project lang cvs [server aborted]: correct above errors first! cvs commit: saving log message in /tmp/cvs1mhIEt === Thanks, Florian
we use both de and lang right now, de only in the future, the shift to de is near. you already have committ-access to de, as Manfred and I can grant roles for the de project, for lang/de only louis can grant roles, but IMHO de should suffice, as we are shortly leaving lang/de anyway.
we should close this ticket and move any requests for new keys in new tickets. it's easier for us to do time-to-resolution stats and other metrics to aid in issue management. thank you.
As agreed by Louis I will close these resolved fixed support-owned issues now. If you have trouble with that, please re-open the issue.
