Description raindrops 2006-01-19 09:30:32 UTC
I have registered 67 issues (and counting); and I am tracking them with the help
of a query page that shows issues I have raised/commented on.

My problem is that I am unable to pinpoint which of the issues have changed
since my last visit. I have to go through all of the issues unnecessarily.

The query has a "changed" (date) column, but that does not help a visitor:
1. If the issues have changed on the same day (which is the practice), the
reporter will miss that; because the date column does not change in that case.

2. If a reporter visits occasionally (or after a few days), he will not remember
when he visited the list last. Again, he has to go through all issues unnecessarily.

Therefore, I suggest that the website should have a flag to show which of the
issues are changed since the last visit of the reporter.

The flag could be anything:
* A separate page that lists only the unread issues
* A color-coded entry that sets apart unread issues from others
* A flag in the left--most column
* A column with last poster's name (if it's not you, then you may want to check
it out)

This is like "New posts" page in a typical forum website.

Thanks.
