Description tora3 2006-02-09 05:47:33 UTC
1. Start OpenOffice.org 2.0.1 with English user interface.
  2. Choose the menu Help > OpenOffice.org Help.
  3. Choose OpenOffice.org Writer from the combo box.
  4. Choose the tab named Find.
  5. Fill a text box named Search term with a word shape and
then press an Enter key to look for the word.
  6. Choose the first choice labeled Text and then press a
button labeled Display at the bottom of the dialog.
  7. Look for the following sentence by scrolling the window.

Resizes a custom shape to fit the text that you
       enter after double-clicking the shape.

  8. Now you know that the page includes a phrase "custom shape."
  9. Fill the Search-term text box with two words: custom shape
and then press an Enter key to look for the phrase.
 10. Believe or not, the page found by the step 5 above is not
chosen at this moment. Only a page titled Fontwork is chosen.
 11. With carefully looking at the page titled Fontwork , you would
find two words custom and shape highlighted. That looks good.
 12. You may try to look into this behavior with a word custom and
find another fact. The page titled Text found in the step 5
is not chosen by the search for the word at this moment.

If this has been alrealy reported, please forgive me and close this.

Comment 8 tora3 2006-02-11 01:31:08 UTC
Sorry for confusion. Please forget the word custom and shape mentioned in the
issue 61733 and think this again.

Reproduction:
 1. Try to search for word A.
 2. Try to search for word B.
 3. Try to search for a phrase A B.

Expectation:
 Word A hits N entries.
 Word B hits M entries.
Phrase A B hits X entries whose corresponding pages include both words A and B.

Reality:
 Mess...
Comment 9 tora3 2006-02-11 01:41:32 UTC
I mean...

Reality:
Assume that searching a word A hits N entries and some of them include a word B
 in accident.

An attempt of searching a phrase A B sometime does not hits the entries that
actually includes both words A and B separately or exactly a sequence of two
 words A and B.
