Description floeff+ooo 2006-02-12 18:02:49 UTC
After installation of m156 (problem was not there with m155), the quickstart
systray icon correctly appears. However, the setting "Start OOo on system
startup" is not checked and cannot be (un)checked. No checkbox appears in front
of the text, and clicking on the menu entry does not change anything.
Comment 1 epix 2006-02-12 19:21:19 UTC
Can confirm, systray menu cannot be changed using win xp.
Default installation does not install quickstarter, however I may change
settings via Tools/Options and after restart, quickstarter is set at startup.
Comment 2 lars 2006-02-12 20:43:58 UTC
confirmed with 680_m156 on WinXP Pro SP2
Comment 3 Olaf Felka 2006-02-13 08:59:03 UTC
It's not a defect: When the quickstarter is deselected at installation it can't
be used and selected in the installed OOo version. 'Tools Options' is naturally
disabled.
Comment 4 Olaf Felka 2006-02-13 08:59:27 UTC
invalid, works as designed.
Comment 5 floeff+ooo 2006-02-13 09:15:06 UTC
Not invalid. Reopening.
I have *NOT* deselected the quickstarter at installation.
Comment 6 Olaf Felka 2006-02-13 09:47:34 UTC
I've tried with OOo m156 on a clean Win2000 (no OOo on it before). The
quickstarer (qs) is selected as default at installation. After installation qs
is running after office start and can be (de)selected at tools options.
Comment 7 Olaf Felka 2006-02-13 09:52:24 UTC
I think it depends on your system. Please clean up your system (registry).
Comment 8 floeff+ooo 2006-02-13 10:04:42 UTC
I have at least two persons who can confirm this issue with m156.
Have you tried it on XP?
Can you try it when 2.0.1 or m155 was on it before?
Comment 9 Olaf Felka 2006-02-13 13:32:35 UTC
When qs is deselected at installation, it's also disabled in Tools Option.
That's ok. When qs is selected at installation, qs is started on reboot or with
the office start. In Tool Options there is no possibillity to set the checkbox
for checking or unchecking the qs: You can set the checkbox, but closing the
Options dialog and reopening shows the checkbox unchecked again.Because it's not
deselectable when when it has been selected once it is 'always on'. The context
menu of the systray icon has no mark for starting and can't be set. What epix
has described is not reproducible for me. It brought me on the wrong track.
