Description mvg 2006-02-27 09:47:05 UTC
My system is SuSE 10 complete updated with apt with OOo2.0.2RC5 and newest OOo
from SuSE. On both this error happens.

If I paste from an OOo document (odt or sxw) with [CRTL]+[Shift]+[V] selecting
DDE the pasted text gets three letters in addition at the beginning.

Example: "Test" is shown as "Test"

This is also shown in a saved and unzipped content.xml.

If I change language with "EXPORT LANG=de_DE" instead of "de_DE.utf8" the pasted
text is shown correct.

Same behaviour with Calc. In Impress/Draw there is no DDE selectable.

Reassigned to ES.

Seeing the same issue with openSUSE 10.0 x86_64 and
Ooo_SRC680_m159_LinuxIntel_install_en-US_rpm.tar.gz using documents in en_GB
language.

Are you sure you're using UTF-8 locale?

That very much looks like the Byte Order Mark when viewed viewed with latin1
charset.

Please check wehther replacing the probably invalid de_DE.utf8 by de_DE.UTF-8

On most recent systems de_DE already is UTF-8

ES->OS: as tested, imported documents with DDE link created on Windows also show
that problem.
Comment 5 mvg 2006-03-29 22:40:46 UTC
export | grep LANG says:

declare -x LANG="de_DE.UTF-8"

I confirm this issue on 2.2 (official version from OOo RPMs) under Ubuntu Dapper.
Locale is fr_FR.UTF-8.
