Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 62749
spelling dialog repeats suspected phrase in some cases
Last modified: 2017-05-20 11:19:41 UTC
I attached a trigger file that explains the problem (in 2.0.2RC 1 through 4, at least). Copy next block into OO writer, select it, and hit F7 - why is the "t.g.," repeated? blah blah blah so there we were (t.g., talking treason) blah blah blah
Created attachment 34565 [details] trigger file with explanations
Reassigned to SBA.
SBA: Interesting... Confirmed with OOo 2.02. But this is definately not a P1 issue -> Changing Prio to P4. This is a minor defect and not at all a hinderance in the use of spellchecker. SBA->Nemeth: Looks like the combination of abbreviation, dot, comma and line break does some voodoo here :-) SBA-> nemeth: The target OOo 3.0 may be discussed... :-)

Works with dot+dot+new line, also dot+[?!]+new line combinations. This is the bug of the new spell checking dialog. It looks a buffer problem associated with the double spell() calling at end of line or buffer problem associated with the bad sentence detection (the preview area in the dialog shows only one sentence). Nemeth->SBA: Stefan, I suggest reassign the issue to the author of the new spell checking dialog. Perhaps this problem related also to StarOffice.

SBA->Nemeth: Thanks for digging into this. You're right, affects SO too. I should have had a look, sorry. SBA->Oliver: And the winner is... Reassigned to OS.
