Description lars 2002-07-05 15:55:04 UTC
- Windows Meta Files (WMF) are "insertable", but their standard size is smaller
than the original size from which the WMF came from -- I don't know whether the
WMF-(windows-clipboard-)format allows to access this data, but anyway, the
standard size should be bigger

- Bitmaps which wait in the windows clipboard can't be inserted as meta-file
+ the standard insert method for waiting bitmaps is "metafile" though, so that
one has to long click on insert icon to open content-type to be inserted
(excuse english, you know what is meant)
     * in Calc a warning appears, that clipboard content can't be inserted,
when (normally of course) clicking on insert icon
     * in Writer just nothing happens

- inserted (always "insert icon - bitmap-format" fct. I am talking about)
bitmaps in Calc look "unsharp"; in Writer they are sharp. They are printed as
"sharp" (or "normal") however from Calc as from a graphics app..

some things I don't know where to send to (could you report these issues to the
correct people?) :

- were the 'print' and 'print directly' icon always the same (because currently
they are and I thought they weren't once and I have the feeling that other
  icons also change)

- graphics editing functionality is lacking on the interaction side with apps
such as spreadsheet and on Draw itself. Draw is not as easy (and not as
powerful I've got the feeling) to handle as Paintshop Pro, so that I am using
that app. to do my bitmap manipulations I need to do to insert bitmaps into
Calc; that's not efficient for small tasks when wanting to do some work.
So the Draw-functionality (incl. o.c. interact. with oth. app.s ...) should
be improved - could you redirect this information to relevant people for
  consideration ?

- (O.K. this one goes to www-issues; but I don't want to create a new issue now)
one is logged off from OO.org when changing website though not exiting
browser -- cookies should therfore be alive during whole time browser is open
and could actually be permantently saved because I don't want to log-in every
time! or implement a log-in field on the "enter issue" page - that's
convenient when coming from a direct link through an e-mail ragarding ones
  issues !

should I put some or more in the Draw-app. issue category?

Use the appropriate component for your Issues.

Drawing for all graphics

Chart for Charts

and so on.

It must be done in this way otherwise we can't handle such things in a
fast and correct way.

OK - I was always uncertain because it was partly spreadsheet
specific and I didn't know whether draw was for Draw app. only - so
I'm doing 4 draw issues - if you want me not to (bec. you've
redirected already), I'm waiting 7 minutes from 23 min. past current
fullhour

Hi Lars,

It's not necessary for the submitted Issues.

But for future ones.

Have a nice weekend.

this issue had been split into several others; it is not needed
anymore therefore.
