Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 63057
Images in MailMerge to HTML are not shown in Result
Last modified: 2017-05-20 11:17:40 UTC
Document with Images is Mail merged into a HTML Message. Images included via Insert-Image-from File are not included in the result mail Even when the image is linked. (e.g. linked to an image on the www) The HTML Source code includes the image path : <IMG SRC="svg6i_tmp_b5e557.png" even though the image was linked into the document with the URL http://kutsam.at/kutsam.logo.png this is my first bug-report here - hope this is the correct subproject.
Reassigned to HI.
What about when you save the mail. Do you see the graphic when you load the file?
how to reconstruct behaviour: create new writer document insert local image insert linked image from internet (http://qa.openoffice.org/branding/images/logonew.gif) save as test.odt run mail merge assistent to create html message mail is received with outlook 2003 the image is not shown - and also definitely not attached to the email (image had 100+ kb the received email only 5kb
I don't think that it is an mailmerge issue. Please test following: - create new writer document - insert local image - insert linked image from internet - Menu File - Send - Create HTML Document - Give a name and close with ok -> The new HTML doc should be on top now - Menu File - Send - document as E-mail... -> The reult should be the same.
I did as "hi" suggested - the result is the same: an email message without the pictures attached
HI->OS: Please have a look.
Same as 61141?

Target changed to 2.x
I found a workaround if you want your pictures displayed: 1. Save the document as HTML. 2. Insert local image (Insert >Image), and check the Link field. 3. Right-click the Image, change the link to a remote location where you must earlier save the image. 4. Do the mailmerge. Now, the picture will show (if the remote location is up and running).
following release status meeting -> target 3.x
Is there any time plan for fixing this ? It is very expected feature by us.
