When opening an sxd file.  OpenOffice simply quits.  No error message.  I've
tried opening it in a console as well to see if it spits back an error, but
nothing.  I just upgraded from OpenOffice version 1.x and it was working in the
earlier version.

Gentoo Linux. AMD 2600 1GB RAM.

I use windows version opened, no crash. And some files(5 files) can not find:
minotaursquished.jpg
...

Do you use an Office version provided by Gentoo or did you download it from the
original OOo website? Did you were questioned to send a crash report ? Thanks.
Not reproducible here on Suse 9.2 with OOo2.0.2.

Works well to me on Windows XP with OpenOffice.org 2.0.2 HU except the missing
jpg pictures.

JA: the file loads perfectly on my Linux system using build oob680m5. As jlcheng
and kami already mentioned there are several bitmaps missing as they seem to be
linked into the document. Resolving issue as 'worksforme'.
