Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 6356
variables for webmacro's
Last modified: 2004-03-22 16:09:34 UTC
Louis, Is it possible to obtain a list of defined variables of the webmacro's in use at CN/OOo? This would be *very* nice for us to do some stuff. thanks Martijn
Hi, Martijn yes, I should think so. I'll put it on my list... Louis
adding a CN person (beril) to this to see if she can answer your questions. louis Beril, if you have time, could you answer Martijn's questions? thanks lsp
We don't have such a list but if you give me a little time, I can come up with a list of basic variables you can use safely on any of the templates.
thanks, Beril, Martijn seems to be absent right now; I think there are some email problems. -louis
Hi Beril, Thanks, I'd appreciate it if you can get something together. What I am looking for is: * a list of safe stuff to use in the templates in look.openoffice.org. Specifically, how to get stuff like currentpage, current project, current domain, username, user status, group (I think this is a feature we can use a bit more?) etc. The more the better. * a clear list of what templates get loaded where, and in what order. I found this difficult to find out with trial and error. I also have a question: I managed to get a sort of context-sensitive menu thing going on in the left-hand menu. see website.openoffice.org, first block. That only shows in website. This is something I would like to add to offer to all projects, but I'm worried about a few things: first of all, load overhead - I don't want to iterate through all projects on every page load and I don't want to have to manage all the menus for all the projects. so I figured I place a structured HTML file in a set location within a project's webspace, say /menu.html or something, and then in the template, simply test for existence, and use #include. This did not work out for me - an error message was produced as a comment in the generated HTML (also, the whole menu failed to show up) to the effect that the file could not be found. Webmacro allows this type of nesting. are nested includes switched off for security purposes? If so, could we enable this for specific paths, or make it a top-level include? Thanks a million!! Martijn
Beril, I've asked for Brian B to help out here. thanks louis martijn: it takes time to compile such a list.
as per BB's mail, this won't go through... :-(
As mentioned on the qa dev list on March 5th I will close all resolved duplicate issues. Please see this posting for details. First step in IssueZilla is unfortunately to set them to verified.
