Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 6402
Illegal postscript exported by Draw application
Last modified: 2003-09-08 16:52:24 UTC
Some time (I am not sure, but it seems to happen whenever I paste something in draw from another OO.org application) the generated postscript is illegal. It varies from case to case, but there is a general pattern: a row of the following aspect: -(.000-( -(.000-( t is generated. If I delete such row (or rows, it depends) the EPS works ok. I will attach a file that fails shortly.

In the attached file you'll find: graf.sxd: a simple logo of my institution. Pasted from OO.org presentation program. graf.eps: the generated incorrect postscript. graf-correct.eps: hand-corrected EPS. culprit.diff: diff -u of the last two mentioned files. It happens the same with charts pasted from spreadsheets, so it's not specific to presentation.
It seems that another flavour of the same problem is in 1.0.1 (I have not checked yet if the old one was resolved: anyone?) I will attach a .sxd file that, when exporting to EPS, will have a line containing a "efp" command on a line. If you change the "efp" into "ef p" --- adding a space --- the eps will work fine. Have a nice day, Romano

Problem is confirmed in 1.0.1 Is there anyone looking into it?
I am experiencing problems when exporting a selection to EPS from Impress. Sometimes the result has some missing elements, sometimes I get an error on the EPS file, not clear the triggering factor.
I tested this quite intensive and in OO 1.0.1 the problem with the wrong eps code is reproduceable but not in an actual internal one. Therefore the problem with the eps export should be fiixed in version OO 1.1. Thanks for your copious description and file delivery!!
