Description lars 2002-07-15 17:50:42 UTC
only implement HTML source code syntax highlighting and right-click syntax help
linking to the W3C HTML reference.

And use HTML 4.01 and all those nifty things mentioned on www.w3c.org on the
left side ;-) Won't a general parser + database of keywords be enough?

Else remove the HTML editor.

this just to show, that this issue is neither solved nor obsolet:

- make a html-file with OO.o
- open it with mozilla-editor
- try to reformat anything in that file

Just play a little with the file in Mozilla and you will see, the result is
(understatement) no good.

reformat or re-enter in same format is nearly impossible,
esp. OO.o need to get rid of these wrong style-syntax, when html-files have to
be reused by other aplications.
want a good idea?
send it to the w3c-validator: no html4.0

main issue: as a feature needed:
remove anything, which is not suitable for textbased browsers - which is not
html3.2.
Simplicity is needed ,and this need to be done the soonest

OOo is no usable HTML editor -- by miles.

remove the HTML editor code, otherwise issue still valid as per OOo 3.0 Beta m2.
