Description ilgraspa 2006-04-24 16:23:08 UTC
Hello,
the problem:
1. Create a new document using OpenOffice Writer;
2. write some text;
3. select it and change the font to Book Antiqua by writing it into the font
selection component;
4. make the selected text italic;
5. POOF! the text disappear!

It also appens when opening a document with some book antiqua italic text.

Please check followings:

- The font "Book Antiqua Italic" exists on your system ("Fonts" directory)
- Make the same test in Wordpad. Same result?
- Delete and reinstall "Book Antiqua Italic" on your system.

If all these fails, please add a screenshot of what you see.

Well..the font Book Antiqua Italic was present in the system, anyway after I've
installed another word processor (IE word) openoffice stated working even with
that font.
Maybe the font file was damaged, sorry.

Could be a hint to include more fonts in the install package to avoid this kind
of problems?

Thanks.

I don't think "more" fonts would help repare damage fonts ;)
