Description burnus 2006-04-25 21:35:05 UTC
Currently, one can optionally use the mouse as pen to write on the sheets.

Inspired by
http://ocw.mit.edu/OcwWeb/Materials-Science-and-Engineering/3-320Spring-2005/VideoLectures/index.htm
(e.g. second or third video, not first video),

I miss:
(a) quick way to change the pen colour (possibly by keyboard or by tiny symbol,
a handful colours is enough)
(b) inserting a blank sheet to draw on (dito)
(c) possibility to save those annotational pen drawings

a is duplicate of issue 10922; b and c I couldn't find, so confirming them here

Can this issue be marked fixed? Basically, it is possible to insert a blank
sheet by right clicking and choosing from the context menu either Screen->Black
or Screen->White.

Part C (saving pen marks) is a duplicate to issue 62973.

Unfortunately, this issue violates rule #1: One Problem, One Issue
http://qa.openoffice.org/issue_handling/basic_rules.html#one_per_issue

Maybe I do something wrong, but while I can use the pen to write something on
normals slides, I fail to use the pen on the white/black slides.

What I'd like to do is:
- Give a normal presenation, add something with the pen
- insert a page to give some extra bits
- continue with the talk
-> question arise -> go back and have (maybe depending on a presentation option)
the inserted slides and the other annotations still there.

I verified that this enhancement is not achieved in the 3.0 version and I also
found a bug on the 3.o version.
In my test, I was able to insert a blank slide, however; I could not take a note
on it.

First step is to configure to see the pointer as a pen.
Thus, go to slideShow/slideShow setting/ and the check the box "mouse pointer as
pen"
Then I created 5 new slides, and press F5 to initiate the Slideshow.

During the presentation I tried to test the feature under 3 different scenarios:
1) a- insert black/white slide right after the first slide
1) b-insert a black/white between 2nd and 5th slide
1) c-insert a black/white slide right after the last slide.

2) I try to use the pen to take any note.

What happened:
in step 2, i wasn't able to see what I wrote with my pen until I release the
mouse button. After this, the blank slide dissapear and the original slide (the
one which I previously design) goes back with the new notes that I took.
I always got the same result. Although I was able to insert the black/white
slide, I could never take note on it.

This is bad for 3 things: 1 you can't see what you are writting.
2 the notes are taken in the original slide rathen
than the one inserted during the presentation
3 you can not take many notes since the original slide
comes up as soon as you release the mouse button.

In my opinion, this is an important bug since this feature is very useful for
customers that present their slides under any professional (or not) environment.
