Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 6520
autocorrect dialog does not display font attributes
Last modified: 2013-02-07 22:39:36 UTC
If you set up an autocorrect entry that replaces an abbreviation in roman (plain text) with an expansion in italics, the replacement is made correctly, but the replacement does not show in lower portion of the dialogue. See the screenshot for an example, where the entries "ec" and "sc" are set up to be replaced by latin species names, in italics. Nothing shows up for them. The other entries in the list, which replace roman abbreviations with Roman expansions, show up as they should.
Where is the screenshot? Can you give some examples of the font names you used to display this error?

I just use a variety of of ordinary TTF fonts, if some a littl eunusual: most often Palatino Liotype and Caslon 540. both of them came with Corel Draw, I suspect, back in the mists of time, and I have never had any other problem with them.
SBA->OS: Corrected the title (because no character attributes are displayed at all, italic isonly one). Probably a duplicate... Please dispatch.
The formatted text cannot be displayed in the dialog. It may be useful add a descriptive entry to the dialog that is filled with the plain text - if there is any text. Changd issue type, OS and owner.
Reassiged to Bettina.
Hello Oliver, this seems to be a uncomplicate fix / enhancement. Please give approval for this evaluated OO.o 2.0 flagged issue. If you confirm with the target OO.o 2.0, then please keep it on your owner (or the owner of the concerning developer) for implementation. In case you want this issue for 'OOo Later', then please reset the target milestone. If you decline the issue finally, please set the resolution to 'Wontfix' (but do not close). In case of 'OOo Later' or 'Wontfix' please reset it on Bettina's owner. Thank you.
It is not so simple. The replacement is a Writer document. For performance reasons it is not possible to load all the documents to show the text (or a part of it) of the replacement. If we want to show a descriptive text it has to be stored additionally in the AutoCorredtion file.
