Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 65342
Localedata with updated Danish alphabet
Last modified: 2013-08-07 15:01:14 UTC
Danish alphabet is A-Z Æ Ø Å. The attached patch updates LC_INDEX. Reference Dansk Sprognævn: "Ifølge Retskrivningsreglerne i Dansk Sprognævn: Retskrivningsordbogen, 1986 (§ 1.1), består det danske alfabet af de 29 bogstaver a, b, c ... v, w .. æ, ø, å." - http://www.dsn.dk/nfs/1997-4.htm 2.0.3 would be a nice target but not my decision.
Created attachment 36442 [details] updated localedata
Accepted. Too late for 2.0.3, targeting to 2.0.4.
In CWS locdat204: i18npool/source/localedata/data/da_DK.xml 1.13.26.1 Note to QA: in Writer's index feature in a da_DK locale the sort oder must be a, b, c ... v, w, x, ..., æ, ø, å
Reassigning to QA.
verified in internal build cws_locdat204
closed because fix available in OOom180
I am testing m180 in calc (Fedora core 5), and "wer" comes before "von" when sorting (same in writer). if I understand this issue right, it is not fixed in m180.
tested with m180 on Win XP, and with m181 on Fedora in both cases "wer" comes before "von"
just tested on other machine too with m180 (Leif Lodahl) - w and v is sorted randomly
Should this be reopened?
I think it should be reopened - the error can be reproduced on different machines and on different platforms
to veriry the random sorting of w and v we used a serie of letters, here is the result: Cv Cx Df Ds Ds E E F F Fg Gf Q Sd Sw V V V W V Wa Vd Wrr
Please do not confuse the Writer's index section generation with general collation (sorting). This issue is _only_ about the index generation, which now has a distinct key W for entries. Collation works different and will hopefully be fixed with a more recent version of ICU we'll be upgrading to for OOo2.1, the current version treats V and W with the same weight.
sry - wasnt clear to me. In Testcase 109269, Calc-28, Sorting Bug: 65342 is mentioned Thats why I assumed that this issue was about collation Do we have to open a new issue about sorting?
