Description brakky 2006-05-24 20:03:14 UTC
I have a doc in which the whole page is taken up by a table which is one column
wide and two rows high. The two rows are fixed heights
I have in the table properties the "Allow Row to Break across.." enabled.
when I get to the bottom of the row instead of the page breaking and the text
continuing in a table on the next page the text goes into "invisible land"

I have tried 2.0, 2.0.2, and even the current build 2.0.3 and it all has this
problem. While messing around I noticed that if I change the row to be "fit to
size" then it does work. But if I have the height fix (which it needs to be in
my case) then it doesn't work.

I did some more messing around to see other instances.

It seems that by having fixed heights that text which doesn't fit the space
alloted goes into "invisible land".

Yes, that is the intention of a fixed height... the table won't grow if it
filled with text. If you want to have the table breaking then, you should give
it a minimum height adapted to the page size with dynamical size.

Closed, it works as intended here.
