Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 66248
Curve dialog has wrong name in the titlebar.
Last modified: 2024-02-04 16:43:16 UTC
- start an Impress or Draw - The Help tips have to be switched on (Tools/options/general) - move the mouse pointer over the curve icon - the help tip curve appears - drag the dialog out of the toolbar - in the title bar is 'lines' written.

Reset assigne to the default "issues@openoffice.apache.org".
"OpenOffice.org 3 Draw Guide" (based on OpenOffice 3.3) also points out the discrepancy in names. And on page 31 therein one reads: "Curves The tools for drawing curves or polygons are on the toolbar that appears when you click the Curve icon on the Drawing toolbar.". Perhaps both the tip ("Curve") and the toolbar name ("Lines") should be changed to "Curves and Polygons"? Code pointers - see the attached .txt file.

Thank you for the detailed pointers! Personally, I would suggest to unify "Curve/Lines" to "Curves" (even though the toolbox is .uno:LineToolbox) Simply because "Curves and Polygons" is a bit long for the initial sized toolbar.
It is a bit long. I presume you noticed that the Connectors toolbar exibits the same problem.

Yes, that's why I wrote "initial size". You can always change it afterwards, maybe we can find a way to change "Connectors" from 3x4 to 6x2?
E.g. for Draw, file: /trunk/main/sd/uiconfig/sdraw/toolbar/connectorsbar.xml The bar contains 28 items, 12 of which are visible. The division in lines appears to be dependent on the tag: <toolbar:toolbarbreak/> A change from 3x4 to 6x2 ? See the attached .gif recording.
