Hi *,
I switched to use JDK 1.4.0 and 1.4.0-1 from sun, because the xmerge-tools run
only with JRE 1.4 and above. I installed and switched with jvmsetup, this goes well.
But if I try to connect to JDBC-Datasource, OOo sayÂ´s I have no Java installed.

This is definitely NOT an API issue.  

Check your OOO-INST/user/config/javarc or
OOO-INST/user/config/java.ini file.
