If you're building with gcc 4.0.x, make sure to check out 

issue 66577 gcc 4.0.2 build fails due to "warnings are errors"

that will save some trouble :-)

issue 60951 boost does not recognize gcc 4.0.1 as supplied by XCode 2.2

(the #warning "Unknown compiler version - please run the configure tests and
report the results" breaks the build)

Every "depends on" issue seems to be fixed now -> marking this issue as fixed as
well. Good work!

Now take care about the new stuff that breaks the build because of newly
introduced warnings!
