Description harlan879 2002-08-01 20:45:16 UTC
Hi,

I have a presentation generated in OOo that is in landscape format. It looks
great on-screen, but if I try to use the PDF converter to generate a PDF file,
it only comes out as a portrait document. That is, it's rotated 90 to the left.
Since Acrobat doesn't have a way of rotating a document that I can find, I can't
use it to display my presentation!

I also tried printing just plain postscript to a file and viewing that with
ghostview. Same problem. It prints correctly onto paper, of course, but
ghostview displays it rotated (unless I force it to landscape mode).

I've tried playing with both the Format->Page and Print->Properties settings for
landscape vs portrait, to no avail. Looks like a bug to me...

Thanks! -Harlan

This is one of the issues that is fixed with the new PDF export
filter. In the meantime is suggest using the "Rotate clockwise" (resp.
"Return counterclockwise") featurure in Acrobat reader 5 and up
(please look at the View menu).

As mentioned on the qa dev list on March 5th I will close all resolved duplicate
issues. Please see this posting for details. First step in IssueZilla is
unfortunately to set them to verified.
